Joseph Villano, a lifelong Rotterdam resident, had his passion of the real estate business stoked at an early age. Being the son of Anthony Villano, a well-known general contractor in Schenectady County, he received his first taste as a teenager swinging a hammer on various construction sites. Looking to expand his knowledge of the real estate industry, he went to Siena College where he majored in the
political science/pre-law program and then attended Albany Law School.
In 2003 he graduated, in the top 5% of his class, from Albany Law School. While receiving his undergraduate and law school education, he clerked six years for a general practice firm located in downtown Schenectady. During his clerkship, he routinely reviewed contracts, title issues, and prepared closing statements. Once licensed as an attorney he began regularly closing transactions involving all
manner of Real Estate. In 2010, he left the Schenectady firm to start Villano Law Firm, PLLC in
After closing hundreds of residential and commercial transactions as an attorney, he opened Villano Realty, LLC in 2009 to provide the same level of personal and professional service pre-contract, that the public had come to expect from him bringing contracts to fruition. After his election to Rotterdam Town Board in late 2013, Joe decided to expand the practice and its level of service by retaining several
experienced associate real estate agents, thereby creating @ Home Realty Sales.
